Fund-raising events take place throughout the year. An annual quiz with a Christian Aid slant takes place in or near November. Occasionally there is a film night. Other events take place to promote the current work of Christian Aid.

In May each year, at St Andrew's and St George's West in George Street, hundreds help in the Christian Aid Sale which can raise £100,000 annually for Christian Aid through the sale of books, pictures, ephemera, collectables, toys and much more. Started in 1974, the sale has raised well over £2m for Christian Aid. The success of the week long sale is only possible through much work by the volunteers in sifting, sorting and pricing, as well as in preparing the Church for the event.

For a printed report on the 2019 Christian Aid Sale, copies are available in the vestibule of St Andrew's & St George's Church, George Street.
